“Either you’re WHITT-IT or you’re not!”
In all seriousness, while Whittney is a respected Global Parenting Expert and Modern Family
Lifestyle Coach, her 15+ years’ worth of tried, tested and refined methods will not be the right fit
for everybody.
Whittney’s mission is to make her knowledge accessible; it’s an individual’s decision as to whether
it’s applied.

What Whitt Says
• Parent your children with purpose. This promotes raising your child with intention.
• Remember, children are visual learners and parents are constantly modelling behaviours to their children. This is all the more reason to be very deliberate in showing up as the positive example you want to be for your child.
• Raise your children for the real world and not for yourself. Can you confidently say you’re setting your child up for successful navigation outside of the four walls of your home?
• Be your child’s safe space, physically and emotionally – no matter what. In this way, regardless of where you are, you’re able to connect.
Families with Nannies
- Be mindful of the following, as your nanny is supposed to be an extension of yourself:
• The parent/nanny relationship is based on partnership and collaboration, not ownership and control.
• A nanny is hired to support parental responsibilities, they do not owe parents a favour and should therefore not be treated as such. Expectations and boundaries should be established as early as possible.
• Consistent, open and honest communication is crucial in cultivating a healthy environment for all.
• Care for the carer. Yes, the nanny cares for the children, but the nanny needs to know they are cared for and supported by the parent.
• Last but not least, you are a team and fostering this type of dynamic requires mutual dedication.
